Additional Info

A husband and wife were looking for a window to separate the entry way from the kitchen in their Central Oregon vacation home. Their original concept was a sandblasted picture of the Three Sisters Mountains that they can see from their living room. My thought was why? When you have the real thing right there, nothing is going to do it justice. They noticed a Ansel Adams poster that I have in my studio and the husband mentioned that he had studied with Ansel years ago. I asked if he was still doing photography. He said “yes.” I suggested that they bring in three of his photographs that they could both agree on and I would choose one as the design for the glass. I used multiple layers of transparent vitreous enamels so the window would change with the lighting.
