Screen printed on glass, kiln fired, and mounted in thermal panes secured to exterior wall niches of the TriMet Hillsboro Transit Center.
There are 14 historic photographs of old Hillsboro screen printed on glass, kiln fired for permanence, then mounted in thermal panes secured to the exterior walls niches of the TriMet Hillsboro Transit Center. I was the artist that produced the images on glass back in 1997 when Hillsboro Central was originally built. I still have the original silk-screens. When it was time to restore the scratched panels, TriMet approached me and I was awarded the restoration contract. I removed, repaired, rebuilt and installed the glass panels with a new hi tech Diamond Guard surface to minimize future damage. This was a seven month long project – Dec. 2015 – July 2016.
